OWS doesn't need leaders but they need leadership... |
|
They don't have to have one leader but they need many leaders. Each leader could be in charge of a cell. A cell could consist of about 100 people or less. They should be able to coordinate information with each other. People need to know what is going on within the movement. New people could join the cell of their choice. They would only have to give their email address or ph# in order to stay informed. Without leadership or coordination, I fear they will lose the battle. Information is vital. We need many leaders. This is just my opinion.

2. They need to know where to go on the Internet... |
|
At the moment, it is rather scattered, is my impression. I may be wrong?

6. Yeah so all they need is to coordinate an Internet site right? |
|
Is that the leadership you are talking about?

7. Technology is their friend. |
|
Not only the Internet but cell phones, Blackberrys, etc. But they have to know what is going on. The live sites are very important. But how do you get the coordination that is needed?

12. Maybe they should run the same sort of thing as the guy who analyzed the I am the 99 pics. |
|
Have a general comment page, analyze for the top responses, and have a vote.
Beats me how else you put together everyone's ideas.
The danger is in forming a clique that purports to represent the rest.

3. I love how the OWS movement is scary to the Usual Suspects. |
|
Really makes their agenda obvious for all to see.

5. I think they're doing something similar to that |
|
They obviously have General Assembly meetings. Perhaps they've chosen a chair to mediate the time allotment for each speaker. Isn't that the way it's usually done. Someone basically makes sure the general rules of assembly are followed and someone takes the minutes.

19. They're doing a better job than the two major political parties |
|
"Leadership" = moderation and sellout
Not sure they really need the advice of many (excluding you) who are trying to give it.
