So if Gay US Soldiers are in Uganda, will they be at risk of being put to death? |
|
A little reminder about the government we are propping up there with our military - they have made being gay punishable by death.
The more you know...

Kony's a blight, though; an absolute blight, one of the most evil people walking this planet and it's pretty baffling that he's managed to continue to do so for the last twenty years.
The Ugandan government's vile as well, but the Lord's Resistance Army's one of the nastiest, most destabilizing things in all of sub-Saharan Africa. If they, or the US, or one of the neighboring countries or a lightning strike or a chance meteor or a mosquito carrying projectile leprosy or whatever decapitates that group, the entire region will be able to breathe easier.
Disliking this guy certainly isn't a case of liking the Ugandan government. The entire Great Lakes region's been dealing with his works for a generation now, and that's about twenty years too long as it stands. I'd like to see the Ugandan government transform into something, well, sane, but the LRA is one of the most terrible things in a continent that already has way too many terrible things to deal with.
