4. This is good. We want to see perp walks. Goldman Sachs. 1000 protesters arrested, 0 execs arrested.
Fundamental change. It sounds wrong in the present context, which is why it must change. Losing benefits on your job? We need a voice in this.

15. As soon as we see 3 million people descending on that park, we will.
Edited on Fri Oct-14-11 07:29 PM by jtuck004
IMHO, OWS needs to work on their story, and outreach. Would be nice if they could just outnumber the NYPD uniformed officers - about 35-40,000 strong. Say 200,000, on the ground, in the park and surrounding areas. Maybe just get 1% of the 25 million that are underemployed to show up for a week - would take a little fundraising, but worth it. With just enough resistance that you need a police officer for each demonstrator. Do that in a few cities and there would be real leverage for power. Or there may be other ways, we shall see.

It does bring hopes of a perp walk of 3-piece suits. Congress should never have let them walk out without chaining up, at least for a picture. Maybe Larry Summers wasn't there that day. (I know we probably can't jail presidential advisors for encouraging legislation that helped hide perhaps the greatest business fraud in history, but it doesn't seem hardly enough that Clinton dissed him over that bit of chicanery on behalf of his friends on Wall Street).

21. It's a pretty small park. The streets downtown are narrow, and curvy.
I don't think you could put 10,000 people in the area of the park. It's not Central Park.

I hear tomorrow is Times Square. :bounce:

7. They just gave 30 free seconds to air the OWS commercial.
It was great. Peace, not military proliferation. Corporations out of government

Great!

14. Good.
It's dramatic change. And as long as it is based on logical and meaningful and democratic principals, I'm all for it. Or something like that. Words. :)

And by the way, we are a coherent sounding group. It's refreshing. No purple band aids.

He's been one of the fearless ones speaking truth to power. I'm going to watch all his documentaries again this weekend and we have the DVDs for every one of them.

16. M Moore has always fought the good fight.
Unyielding, unafraid to seek out corruption & expose it, and forever standing solid in the name of fairness & justice.
Love this man.
Moore has to be so proud of this global OWS movement
We are proud stand with him

19. Totally...myself as well
Two of my heroes - MM and LO. Didn't even realize LO was a hero...only that I really liked him, until MM said he was the only MSM who'd been to OWS so far (although I believe Rachel now has?).

Very inspiring! All I've done is send a little money, and I don't see ways to do that now? I think Tumbl'r may have a page.

I'm so hopeful!

Perhaps he means MSNBC? Although Fox was down there but got shouted out with "Fox News Lies" chants. :) Oh, and Erin Burnett, and actually I've seen at least 2 others... an African American woman from MSNBC... and a blonde woman that I have no idea who she was or where she was from.

MM is genuine and funny. The 1% fear most being exposed as laughable.
