We're the ones who have to shine.
If there's no one in control,

We're the ones who have to try.
And we know that time has wings,
So we're the ones who have to fly.”

3. It was fun looking for these quotes
I haven't felt this hopeful and this good for decades. I'd forgotten how it felt in the 60s when we thought we were making such big changes. I only hope these young people are wiser than we were. At least they aren't getting high and dropping out, which was great back then, given what we knew. They're far more realistically committed I think. I like to think they learned from our mistakes of inexperience.
