Occupy Lakeland Protest Takes Aim at Bank

Occupy Lakeland protestors gathered Saturday morning under a covered picnic area on Lake Morton to set the ground rules.

Stick to the sidewalk. Don't touch police. Remain peaceful.

Seasoned protestor Mary Davis shouted out the instructions and the group repeated them in unison.

The chorus of voices made certain everyone heard the rules, and helped the group avoid breaking city ordinances, which prohibit bullhorns among other things.

It is heartwarming to see this in such a conservative area often dominated by the Teaparty.

Here is a video from Occupy Lakeland. DUer dmr posted it for me in videos because it would not accept the link I used for some reason. They say the video was taken around 11 am, and that a couple of hours later the group had doubled in size.
