One the the songs we performed was "Sir Duke", I never tired of it.

4. Rec for Stevie
I'm not religious, but whenever I decide I need church on a Sunday I throw in Fulfillingness' First Finale or Talking Book and blast it through the house.

And the spirit comes in and fills me up.

Heaven is Ten Zillion Light Years Away. Just thinking about that song....ooh chills.

10. I don't miss Ms. Ross as much as Stevie. But it's common, to suck the marrow out
of this town, and then never look back.

So much for that "Motown" sound. :eyes:

13. I saw him play a free show

to a crowd estimated at a million people (more than the population of Detroit at the time) for Detroit's 200th birthday or some such milestone about 10 years ago.

It was un-fucking-believable. Hart Plaza.

Just for the record.

11. .... and from a composer's standpoint....
...one of the most gifted, sophisticated and inspired America has ever produced.

I often think he just may be America's Mozart.
