Do not underestimate the power of saying NO! to things that are wrong.
We have far more power than we remember. Even one person truly saying NO! to something like police brutality, to corrupt bankers, to lackadaisical politicians, to =anything= wrong, starts a process, a powerful process of change. When ten persons get together and say NO! to bullshit, it is noticed. Banks close their doors, corrupt media shut their eyes and ears, politicians unsubtly display their FEAR because they know we cannot forever be bullied! To say that the system is WRONG, and we say NO MORE!

The same is true for determinedly demanding things that are RIGHT: fair treatment, health, food, shelter, respect, dignity, opportunity, to be HEARD. Ten persons getting together and being courageous is an amazing thing. Ten persons demanding higher standards will be heard. Ten persons doing what is right, regardless, will change the entire world.

Because in doing something GOOD you give permission to thousands more to do so as well. People who in their heart of hearts know what is right and who are only waiting for an example to remind them, to show them that it is time. Rise like lions after slumber, says the poet!

Things have changed. This is a Trend. Look how quickly #OWS have solved their problems and created new ways of doing things. Look at the thousands around the globe who have already been doing this, and the hundreds of thousands who have joined in over a single month! This is the time to participate, however you can!

4. Never doubt that --
a small handful of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world; Indeed it’s the only thing that ever has. – Margaret Mead

A wonderful, rousing post. Thanks.
