HuffPo - "Congress Attacks (On Environmental Laws) Breathtaking"
While the 99 percent movement engages in OWS protests nationwide to protest the governments refusal to make the rich pay their fair share, and while President Obama and Congressional Democrats fight to try to enact some unemployment relief bills over staunch Republican opposition, Republicans continue to ignore the protests and ignore the unemployment rates in their ongoing efforts to give kick backs to their corporate supporters:

"The people I meet just don't get it," Gray is Green's Kath Schomaker says of her conversations at faith communities and senior centers about the attacks on environmental safeguards. "'Why would anyone be against clean air?' they ask."

"This is the most anti-environment House in history," said Rep. Waxman (D-CA) as he unveiled a new searchable database of legislative votes. Since the beginning of the 112th Congress in early 2011, over 160 votes have been taken to undermine protection of the environment.

"They are particularly enflamed by the Clean Air Act," Frances Beinecke, NRDC's president, writes in her Switchboard blog this week, "a law that has prevented more than 4,300,000 premature deaths since 1990, according to the EPA. It has also prevented 17,850,000 asthma attacks and 14,154,000 cases of chronic bronchitis since 1990."

We cannot wait until the next election. These attacks on our health and environmental safeguards are happening now. Use NRDC's Action Center to send messages (by mail, by phone and email) to your Senator and Representatives today that say you oppose the "anti-EPA" agenda and support strong pollution controls.

1. the republicans do not give a damn about the health of the
American people nor the health of this country

anyone that attacks the welfare of the people is a terrorist in my view
it might be an over used term but it is one that the republicans can understand .......... THEY ARE TERRORISTS

That was on the Bush agenda from the get-go. But several other items on their agenda were more urgent -

1. Hostile takeover of the government....check
2. Deregulate everything that constricts corporate profit, merger and growth....check
3. Diminish Civil Rights and Constitution....check
4. Dismantle public programs (drowning it in a bathtub).....check
5. Reduce Workers rights, wages, pensions and middle class.....check
6. Empty and divvy up the U.S. treasury....check
4. Divvy up government held lands and resources.... 'to do' list.
