Bachmann, Trump: Countries the U.S. invaded should give up their oil

Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann hosted Donald Trump on a conference call with campaign supporters and media Tuesday.

The tycoon and the candidate talked about the Occupy Wall Street protests, fiscal issues and petroleum policy. But Bachmann made sure that callers knew that Trump was not endorsing her.

“He is not on the call this evening because he is endorsing my campaign for Presidency, he’s on the call this evening because he’s admired, he’s respected,” she said.

“Constantly it’s the United States that are the chumps,” Bachmann said. “We constantly clean up everybody else’s mess. Look at Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, we should be getting paid back from these countries we have liberated.” Trump agreed with Bachmann. ...............(more)

3. I don't recall the Iraqis requesting our presence

and the mess that we need to clean up is our own. I would also ask the Iraqi people if they feel they have been "liberated".
There were worse despots around the globe and certainly more noble missions that we could have endeavored upon.
I personally do not believe that the Iraqis owe us ANYTHING and certainly believe that the reverse is true. We BROKE their country. We destroyed a country that was about as secular as you are going to get in the Middeast and decimated women's rights in that country, probably for hundreds of years and laid the groundwork for a civil war.
Tell me again why they should be grateful for our help?

I can show up at your house uninvited with all sorts of grenades, rocket launchers, bombs, and other "cleaning equipment". A little dirty behind the water heater? We'll just spray it out with a .50 caliber machine gun. Dust bunnies in the spare bedroom? We'll chase them away with a bunker buster. After I get done 'cleaning', you should be just as grateful as all the Iraqis -- you'll be homeless, too. :evilgrin:
