Corporations have increased productivity. Sometimes they disallow |
|
multiple bathroom breaks. Would this not be considered a type of internal 'regulation'? Anyone work for a corporation? What are the regulations like for employees? Drug testing and the like? Is this a case of do as I say and not as I do with corporations demanding no regulations on themselves.

5. My point exactly. There are all sorts of policies and rules inside of corporations. So that |
|
business goals are met and things run smoothly. But the corporations don't want to face regulations themselves (imposed by government that wants the country and people's health to meet certain goals).

4. When I was your age, there was a TV show called "Real People" ... |
|
and it was about "Real People" who are extraordinary enough to be on the show.
Anyhoo, they also had a segment about stupid/bad things in America. One week, they did a segment on a company that moved their timeclocks to be by the bathrooms. They did it because they wanted people to punch out when they use the bathroom and punch back in when done. They were shamed into stopping that practice.
I was a youngin', but even I knew that made bad business-sense.

The anti-regulation push by the politicians on the right claims that the extra cost will hurt the corporation's ability to create jobs. The extra cost of grossly overpaying the CEO is off limits, even though using their logic, it costs jobs.

7. And ceo remuneration when it comes time to get a pension is one of the reasons |
|
why pension funds are running at a loss. All those golden parachutes.
