Ex-WaMu board member lambastes 'Occupy' protesters
The shear chutzpa of some people.

Probably the last person you'd expect to scold the Occupy Wall Street protesters for having "flawed values that got our country into this economic mess" is a former Washington Mutual Washington Mutual

But Tom Leppert, a Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate from Texas who sat on WaMu's board from 2005 until its 2008 failure, is doing just that.

Leppert has started a petition to "End the Occupation" that harshly criticizes logic behind the protesters’ movement. According to his blog, he aims to get 5,000 signatures by Oct. 31 from anti-Occupy Wall Street supporters to "tell President Barack Obama to denounce Occupy Wall Street's demand for class warfare."

In Leppert's view, the protesters "possess a false sense of entitlement and think they should be receiving government handouts and run up the debt on an imaginary credit card by making hard-working Americans and future generations pay for the bill."

If you think that sounds a bit rich coming from a guy who helped preside over the biggest bank failure in history — a failure that was largely blamed on WaMu's foray into questionable lending — you're not alone.

3. Leppert decries the occupiers "false sense of entitlement"
Apparently thinking the only folks really entitled to stuff are the wealthy who've managed to grab all they can but want ever more. I wonder how Mr. Leppert will do in his campaign to be a Senator from Texas? I keep hearing from good DUers that Texas is trending bluer all the time and not just in Austin. Sending Mr. Leppert down to gut-churning, belly laugh-inducing, finger-pointing, jaw-dropping defeat would go some ways toward convincing me that it's true.

8. well, I get compensation "unavailable"
but here is a nugget

"During Leppert's seat on the Board of Directors' Washington Mutual Bank had became the largest bank failure in American financial history"

He also sits or has sat on the Board of Directors of:

Baylor Health Care System
Leighton Holdings
Outrigger Hotel and Resorts
US Chamber of Commerce (!!!)

The executive and board of directors industry rewards failure.

I would say it is Leppert who has a serious entitlement problem.

9. Now we're demanding class warfare? I thought we were doing just the opposite.
Dude, read the fucking protest signs... they're everywhere.

Why would we demand class warfare?

Really.
