"I am a champion of liberty" Ron Paul's narcissism makes me sick. |
|
Also he should look up the definition of liberty, it does not mean unrestrained greed.

1. The thing about Ron Paul and all libertarians, is that |
|
they go unchallenged on their definition of "freedom".
What ever happened to freedom from want, freedom from fear.
If you can go bankrupt from medical bills when you have played by the rules all your life (and I will make this clearer for lurking freepers - when you have paid medical insurance premiums all your life), how is that freedom?
When it is legal for corporations to outsource your job, and the only ones now available pay under $25,000 a year, making retirement unobtainable, not to mention sending your kids to college, how is that Freedom?
When corporations can eliminate your jobs because you over 50, and have reached a high level of benefits, under the pretense of "lay-offs", all while sitting on unheard of amounts of assets and cash, how is that Freedom?
When corporations are allowed to poison our air and water, spreading cancer through out the land, how is that Freedom?
Freedom for whom?

We want to move forward, not backward.

When you make a crazy example like that, you come off looking bad.
Think about it, I'm sure you've heard a right-winger claim that democrats want to turn us into North Korea. Yeah, that is extremely stupid for many reasons, but it is just as stupid as claiming that Paul wants us to be like Afghanistan.

Ok, I should have said United States of Amerikastan. Think about it. They are pro-guns, every country that has mass citizens carrying weapons are shitholes, firing off rounds in the air and mass casualties from gun violence. Every country without social safety nets have mass poverty and terrible healthcare. Every country with no Govt regulations has major corruption and a shit economy. Every country with low taxes has a low standard of living. etc. Why do you feel America would be any different? We're all just human beings.

8. Corrected: "I am a champion of liberty for all corporations" |
|
They get the freedom to whatever they want to do, when they want to do it and your only recourse is the court system.
Best wishes and good luck.

15. When the debate modirator asks if the uninsured should just be left to die |
|
he says no. The crowd says yes understanding his libertarian position. I say "I don't understand what Ron Paul stands for." He believes in this collective force that creates charity and generosity that would replace the collective force that is our government. Yet instead of trying to create society institutions where these "charities" really have the capacity to care for the uninsured, regulate corporations etc, he runs for a government position. So what again does he stand for?
