In what presidential election year did the Democrats have the most pathetic primary candidate field?
I'd have to go with 1984.

Mondale, Hart, Jackson, Glenn, and please stop me before I choke on my own laughter. :rofl:

1. I like Mondale better than Dukakis.
Mondale ran an honorable and honest campaign.

I guess Gore would have been a better candidate than Dukakis; not sure why he lost the primary.

Besides, they were from a different era, when it wasn't all beauty contests and fundraising...

6. 2008. 2000. 1992.

Obama, Clinton, and Edwards covered the spectrum of Democratic politics and were strong candidates.


Likewise, Gore and Bradley in 2000.


Clinton and Tsongas were both policy-wonks who were solid.

9. Carter was a very
conservative democrat as president....people forget that...probably the most conservative dem president in 50-60 years.
