The Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome “Debates.”
Watching clips from what the Republicans call “Debates” has made me realize that ideas, logic, reason and civility are meaningless. A bunch of expensively-dressed people on a stage throwing shit at each other is not a debate. The only thing missing is the giant cage and the weapons with which to kill each other.

But there really is something to be learned here. These so-called “Debates” reveal what these people are really about. All they have to offer is how much the others suck and what they themselves would do to screw Americans.

And you know what’s really terrifying? Those who vote for these barbarians.

1. None of the "candidates" show experience with rhetoric, logic, and debate.
All they have is one-liners, "zingers", "gotchas", and logical fallacies.

Expect the nominee to use those weaknesses as "strengths" against Obama, who made law review, when it's time for those debates.

I think he'd raise the intellectual bar significantly, but I also don't think he'd be above the shit throwing.

6. There's not too much difference between Buckley and today's clowns
Buckley's philosophical goals were only slightly less psychotic than those who openly spout "Screw everyone but me." The biggest thing that Buckley had going for him was an incredibly large vocabulary. However, a broad vocabulary does not indicate wisdom. It does not indicate empathy. It does not indicate a caring about humanity or life on planet Earth.

9. When Romney put his hand on Perry's shoulder I thought he might get slapped.
My bet was for a slap not a fist. The greatest debate point for these creatures who is the biggest slime? My vote is for the slime in the audience who clapped for the drivel spouted out by unspeakable filth standing on the stage. The messengers of hate are alive in 21 st Century America and take no care of revealing themselves for what they truly believe.
