They carefully saved for decades, in order to have a steady but lower income in retirement. They are assuming lower income taxes due to their lower incomes. Now they will have to pay an extra 9% in sales taxes on anything they buy. This wasn't part of the budget!

The AARP needs to start publicizing this.

2. Yes I agree
And they need to get the facts out to those in Florida who want Cain as their nominee! I am pretty sure they haven't taken the time to check out his 999 plan, and when they do, and find out just how bad he is going to screw them over, I am willing to bet he won't be in first place there any longer!

3. Apples and oranges!
Old people can still eat those, if they cut them into small pieces.

4. But they won't be able to afford them -- not unless they can buy USED ones!

5. You know I brought that up
with the Teahidists that I work with and it was met with this...."You obviously never questioned your Half White, raised by a rich white granny, going to rich white schools like Harvard, candidate Obama how his fake Hope and Change was supposed to help out the Po folk, but yet you complain when a real black man, a man like Herman Cain, who's roots come from slavery and who actually lived through Jim Crow and the segregation of the South and rose to the heights of the American Dream, a man who can speak with clarity of heart and mind and you don't even really look at his plan, you judge him only on the color of his skin and the political party that he ascribes too, how typically liberal of you....

Followed with.... "If you would just give the man half a chance and if you really cared to look at the plan you would see that it is radical but it takes care of the poor through empowerment zones, will be in place for the poor so that they do not feel the weight of taxation.... but you liberals just tryin to keep all the black folk on the Democrat plantation, what has Obama done for the black folks???? I guarantee you Herman Cain will do more to help black America then Obama ever would.... blah, blah, blah and on it goes...

I feel really tired arguing these points anymore....

6. As the pizza man would say, "It's their fault"
They should have saved their money instead of living high on the hog.
:sarcasm:

7. what's needed is a real graduated income tax . . .
similar to what was in effect during the Eisenhower years . . . everyone paid according to their income, with those making tons of money paying very high percentages of income over a certain amount . . .
