So, I settled in tonight to watch Nova on PBS
As the corporate sponsors were being listed, a name flashed on the screen: DAVID H. KOCH.

I immediately felt sick and turned it off.

God, is nothing safe from these people??? Is there nowhere to hide???

1. Don't turn it off because he gets a tax deduction for supporting
something that you and I might like...

He isn't being altruistic he is getting a tax write off...

3. The money flow is where we are. How we turn it off depends on who we are.
Don't forfeit good programming (television) on PBS because of a sponsor. Change the sponsor.

5. Like Donald Trump David Koch is using his name like graffiti.
Edited on Thu Oct-20-11 06:08 AM by no_hypocrisy
In NYC, at Lincoln Center, his name adorns the formerly known State Theater and his name is etched in marble walls in the Metropolitan Museum of Art as a big donor.

Obviously trying to show himself as a philanthropist.

7. Just goes to show that not all right-wing people think PBS is bad
The Koch brothers support PBS when the Republican party is actively trying to defund it.

Keep in mind that PBS operates completely from donations and grants. I also know that they aren't getting the funding they used to.
