Occupy protesters file for year-long permit
http://www.gazette.com/articles/occupy-127018-protesters-springs.html

<snip>

Occupy Colorado Springs protesters turned in an application Wednesday to keep their canopied “information” booths up in Acacia Park for a year.

City officials plan to rule the protesters’ application by the end of the day Thursday, possibly offering a resolution to a week-and-a-half dispute with Colorado Springs police.

Police initially threatened to arrest protesters if they violated the city’s no camping ordinance or entered the park after hours.

...
If approved, the $100 permit would allow the protesters to keep the three canopied booths near the Uncle Wilber Fountain at Bijou and Tejon streets for a year.
