What the zealous anti-choicer's want to bring you next... the baby safe!

A friend of mine saw this in his local "quasi-Christian" cafe. I had to share.

1. There already is something like that here in CA.
A mother can leave a new born baby at a hospital or some other place ( I am not sure of the place) anonymously and the baby will be taken care of with no penalty to the mother.

I think it is a good idea.

The mother does not have to have an abortion and if she cannot support the baby she is leaving it to someone who can.

Of course a better idea is to have a society that would help her keep her baby and be able to support it but we live in a greed infested society and that idea would not fly.

2. Yes, but we don't want to take care of the babies that we have now...
once they are birthed, they're on their own in our Republican society.

3. Firehouses, also.
They all have signs on them designating them as safe drop-off sites.

5. Many states already have baby-dump laws; this is a baby-dump container
Baby-dumping is not an alternative to abortion; girls (usually) who dump newborns at safe havens or other places have been in denial about their pregnancies up until birth.

Those who are not in denial about their pregnancies and are willing to surrender their newborn to strangers at birth can always find those willing to pay them a nominal fee (and lawyers an enormous fee).

There is no amount of money that will make a woman who does not want to raise a(nother) child go through pregnancy and childbirth. Money is not always the issue.

6. This also helps to stop the babies dumped in a trash can and left
to die. That is what the bill was originally meant to do.

4. I guess I find the idea reprehensible that this group of anti-choicer's are trying
to cash in on this phenomenon. A box with holes in it for $2000...
