Do you think the widespread recognition and specific naming of the Koch Bros helped fuel OWS?
And to a lesser extent, ALEC, and other improved reporting on the actual mechanisms of corporate influence on the government in alternative media and spread via social networking, of course.

1. I don't think so. People were well aware of corporate influence on government before...

2. But I think putting not only a name and a face on it
but also explaining the mechanisms of how it works really helped wake a lot of people up who were in denial... maybe that doesn't describe the protesters themselves, but maybe it provides a broader base of support?

5. Didn't hurt, but I think the SCOTUS' ruling that corporations are people
was the straw and the rest just added to the pile.
