Quick Reminder Of A Great Quake Reporting Service Of The USGS

You can have earthquake data in short form sent directly to your email or mobile device, and you can set any geographic region(s) and threshold magnitude you want reported to you.

These reports are received within minutes of earthquakes of the parameters you specify, and can be very handy.

Check it out - The earthquake notification service:

3. Oh. You mean a quake reporting service that is great.
As opposed to one that reports great quakes (magnitude 8 or higher). With two 4's in precisely the same spot within hours in Berkeley today,

7. that is likely the Hayward fault
I lived on that fault for years. The last time it went off big was in the mid-1950s I heard. Recollections were that looking out the window, the street looks like the waves of an ocean.

Go away earthquakes on the Hayward fault! :scared:

5. Thanks! Wonder when the Reps will want to pull the plug on USGS.
I had some program a few years back that kind of jiggled your screen when there was a quake somewhere. I had to uninstall it because there is ALWAYS some shaking going on somewhere! :7

:hi:
