So, now Investors Business Daily is basically crying crocodile tears for Gaddafi

In what might be called the Obama Doctrine, but won't be because it isn't one and we were leading from behind anyway, the nation's top community organizer has helped NATO reorganize another bad guy from the world scene.

Thirty-one weeks after Nobel Peace Prize winner Obama promised that the Libyan military operation would last "days not weeks," Muammar Gadhafi is dead, along with hundreds of fighters and civilians on both sides. The dictator lasted through 42 years of international insoucance, ever since Obama was a sixth grader.

But near the beginning of the Arab Spring earlier this year Gadhafi made the threat that he was going to kill every opponent in sight in his country's then new rebellion.

1. Many at DU are also mourning Qaddafi.
The indecent left and the indecent right share an agenda sometimes.

3. It sheds light on how easy it was for the government to throw Eugene Debs
in jail for 10 years for speaking out against WWI. No doubt the citizenry confused (like many DUers) criticism of the process for support for the Kaiser.

5. In 2003 *everybody* where I live was for invading Iraq..
To the point that I felt like the character at the end of Invasion of the Body Snatchers because I thought it was remarkably stupid.

Now I can't find a single person that will admit to being for it..

And I'm starting to get that same feeling on DU, the place I lurked at to be exposed to a bit of sanity in 2003..

7. There's a huge difference between policy in Iraq and Libya
I demonstrated against Iraq from the very beginning, and I supported UN/NATO intervention in Libya under R2P. I guess that makes me REALLY insane.

We've seen a lot of disagreement over Libya here, but I wouldn't attribute it to insanity on either side.

8. Success has a thousand fathers..
While failure is an orphan..

If Libya goes thoroughly pear shaped as I fear it may you won't be able to find anyone that will admit being for the US involvement.

4. You know not particularly liking extrajudicial
Executions after your prisoner is taken alive shoud not be confused with shedding tears for kadaffi.

:hi:

There is a process on how you treat and yes, protect, prisoners of war.

I guess that's very pre 2000 though.

6. "The nation's top community organizer" screamss HIT PIECE in bright red letters
Ironic that they attack "leading from behind" when, in this case, that seems to have been a SUCCESS.

I could go on, but this is obviously pure, worthless crap. Your Bachmann pic is right on. It's just  .
