Logan Square Sinkhole Has Concerned Resident Demanding Better Street Repair

It wasn't so much the sinkhole pouring water down their street that ticked off residents of Chicago's northwest side Logan Square neighborhood.

It was the city workers sitting in a van nearby seemingly ignoring the potentially dangerous situation.

"Oh look at that. It's a lake right in the middle,” Marino said. “Look at that, oh it's a river."

Two water department investigators sit in a van pointed away from the sinkhole for nearly an hour and a half, while curious neighborhood children stand just a few feet away from the edge of the hole.
