Failed 1/2 Governor with crosshairs map posts ghost-written MLK message on "continuing his work"
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.by Sarah Palin on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 8:50am

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” - Martin Luther King, Jr.

Today is a day to reflect on the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. King dedicated himself to justice and the struggles of an imperfect world. In the face of fierce opposition, he stood up for the oppressed, and he ultimately sacrificed all for equality and freedom. His was a remarkable life of love and service for all mankind. His work must continue.

With Dr. King’s faith in God and his unwavering hope in a brighter, stronger future, let us recommit today to continuing his work for a more peaceful and just nation.

2. It's not the message, it's the messenger
I would like to think that she understood his work before asking people to continue it. I don't see it as sincerity, I see it as riding on the politically correct side of a national holiday, one more opportunity to get her name in print.

4. She has a lot of gall talking about love and peace right about now.
The only thing I want to hear from her is an apology and acknowledgement that her hate speech is unacceptable and that she will stop it.

I guess I better not hold my breath.

7. She thinks she's a Jew. Does she think she's Black too? Maybe claim she's being lynched?
She tries to co-opt every minority persecution.

8. From a person who doesn't want to go to school with brown people.
From her dad's mouth: "They were a minority type thing and it wasn't glamorous, so she came home."

Now call daddy a liar, Sarah.

10. Some good comments
‎"An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity." Martin Luther King, Jr.

You shouldn't even have the audacity to let Dr. King's name come out of your mouth. Let's be honest about a couple things:

1) Dr. King has the same philosophies as someone else I know - President Obama
2) When Dr. King was alive, he was attacked by conservatives for being anti-American and trying to divide the country - sound familiar?
3) If you were alive during Dr. King's time you would not have been on his side
4) If Dr. King were alive today, he wouldn't be on your side either

Your words sound nice, but you know or care nothing about the things King was fighting for. Clearly they didn't teach black history in caribou country.

-----------

People-SHE DOES NOT READ ANYTHING YOU POST! She doesn't even WRITE IT! And PLEASE-"classy lady" really? She puts a map with crosshairs and that's classy? "Save our country" REALLY? When the going got tough as Governor-SHE QUIT! She QUIT on every single Alaskan that put their faith in her! What do you think will change being president? Besides-no one has YET to tell me about all the wonderful "work" she's been doing! Except helping you part with your hard earned money she's taking!
