If US & Israel targeted Iran’s nuclear plant with Stuxnet, is it OK for another nation to target US
nuclear plants with a virus that could cause a disaster like the movie “The China Syndrome”?

1. It certainly would make that type of attack more likely and it should
be expected.

2. It is said to be better
to give than to receive but others may not see it that way.

Do unto others ...............may equally not apply here.

So - broadly speaking if you do get it back , which doubtless you will at some time , tough - deal with it. At least you'll know the cause.

3. No. It wasn't okay for the US and Israel, and it's not for any other
sovereign nation.

7. Might not have been a good idea anyway
Russian scientists warn of 'Iranian Chernobyl'

If anything really adverse of that type did happen I would think the entire Middle East would rise up.

off topic - I caused a reply of yours which was part of a sub thread concerning un'reccing to be deleted last week. Please accept my apologies.

4. It they do it, it's "terrorism". If we do it, it's "defense".
"Because I do it with one small ship, I am called a terrorist. You do it with a whole fleet and are called an emperor.

5. An analogy might be appropriate here
Would you have understood it better if 9/11 had been carried out by Chile in revenge for 9/11/73 ?

Due to Nixon and Kissenger's intervention the number of deaths under THEIR chosen leader, Pinochet , was at least the number killed in the latter 9/11.

10. There are reports that various parts of U.S. infrastructure including energy, have been attacked...

by hackers or viruses.

It is not about being right to do so. If it is in the interest of China, Iran, Russia, North Korea, they will do it.

Certainly, this form of attack is preferable to bombing their various industrial sites being used to develop Nuclear energy (if you accept the Iranian's word) or a Nuclear Bomb (if you think this is accurate). It is much preferable to invading their country to stop the development of a nuclear weapons.

I think it would be a bad idea to allow Iran to get the bomb. Most their neighbors have already asked us to bomb them and oppose Iran's development of such a weapon. (Thankyou Wikileaks) Many of them, including Saudi Arabia and Egypt, will push to develop their own if Iran becomes the next nuclear power.

11. It wouldn't surprise me if some Wall Street glitches happened that way.
Of course when all the big players are gaming the system with high powered computers, trying to force the markets into oscillations beneficial to themselves, then who could tell?
