to make sure that legal observers were positioned to follow the women of color who planned to be arrested (names, addresses, phone numbers, family contacts, etc. - then observing the arrest and getting the officers badge number and then specifically following the police vehicles) In some jurisdictions, the police were more prone to separate the black and brown from the white arrestees and without followers and advocates, these women could get easily lost in the system.

I never think of these things. It was an outstanding interview...another point he made that you wouldn't ask someone who has gone hungry in their life to do a hunger strike.
Sometimes, just shining a light on the obvious is enlightening.
