Republicans demand US sends millions of dollars to Libya
"At a time when the US is struggling to feed and educate its own children, Republicans are now calling for millions of dollars of money to be pumped into Libya to support the country’s transition to democracy."

I guess Republicans have found something they can't say NO to, unfortunately it's not us.

3. Typical.
Hold this country hostage to a fake debt ceiling crisis, refuse to even consider Obama's jobs bill ideas, sign a stupid Norquist pledge to never raise taxes, but it is quite okay to open up the Treasury to send money to Libya.

We all know who they are trying to help. It is not the people of Libya. It is their mega-bucks contributors who own the corporations that stand in position to profit from business ventures rebuilding Libya.

Meanwhile, our infrastructure falls apart.

8. Our form of democracy may work fairly well for us ...
but it can prove to be a very challenging form of government in nations that have no experience with it.

10. But...but......
their presidential candidates all said we should terminate all foreign aid and save that money so we could give bigger tax cuts to the job creators. I think the party didn't get the memo from the candidates....was there another Blackberry outage?

how can this be verified? The short article seems short on supporting evidence.
