Countering Conservative Logic 101 |
|
Next time you're talking to a conservative, listening to the tortuous logic underpinning the free market/self-made myths of the neo-lib/libertarian idiots, and ask them to reconcile the following points:
1) No one is to blame for being unemployed or poor, except the lazy freeloaders who don't want to get a job. If they had only worked harder, they would have been rewarded for their effort and productivity. it is IMPOSSIBLE to blame STRUCTURAL CONDITIONS for their misfortune. The rich are all self-made & the poor just need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps.
2) The government is to blame for creating the STRUCTURAL CONDITIONS under which business can't compete and thrive (regulation & taxes). If a business is too big to fail, but fails anyway, it is through no fault of their own. In fact, they deserve a bail out / more tax incentives / bigger bonuses.
Then sit back an watch their head explode.

1. that's a good point but a bit too complicated |
|
Simpler--
is the high unemployment rate Obama's fault or because the unemployed or too lazy? I can't figure that out.

Because Obama is black, he was obviously too lazy to fix the economy that other lazy black and brown people (NOT bankers) broke....with their laziness. :sarcasm: <- just in case

He actually got the reference:
"You can always pull yourself up by your own bootstraps...as long as the boot is stomping on a human face forever."
Dark enough for ya?
