is going to be the civil disobedience. While those officers can certainly turn a blind eye they will not be able to help or protect without risking significantly more than anyone else. Civil disobedience is a minor infraction for most protesters, on the other hand that might kill the careers of honest well deserving officers if they get involved directly. OWS needs to be careful how it uses officers supporting the cause. Great for publicity but not the best resource for activism.

And those officers, if they do not join in, risk the very real possibility that they will spend the rest of their careers as slaves to the 1%, who care nothing about the officers beyond their ability to provide protection for their own greedy, sorry asses.
Seems pretty cut and dried to me.
