Again-a sideways response to another post. Talkin' bout an Ipad--I am an educator--certain among us in the school got Ipads as a grant or something. It seems like the teachers who got them are desperately finding ways to make them a "learning tool"--In the English class, they made a big show of how it could be used to improvise any musical instrument. Videos where choral and band instructors had kids "play" the thing so that any dolt could make music. Forget about understanding instruments and how they work-all you have to do is tap the thing and you are now a musician. I like making music more accessible--I do--but do we need to make everything so easy? This makes every type of music into an Autotune horror-show. They showed an entire band tapping on a screen producing awful sounds. Oh yeah--get the hell off my lawn!!
