Could OWS make Obama more progressive?
Obama's policies have been very pro Wall Street. But as OWS gains ground in the election year with what I believe is a lot of support from rank and file Dems, could Obama decide that he needs to move more in line with the 99%? I think in his heart he understands this and has been to timid to buck Corporate America. But perhaps (wishful thinking?) he will see that America wants a different path? It may be a matter of lead. follow or get out of the way.

1. I have a feeling that OWS doesn't exactly think highly of him or the repugs.
That is why a lot of the are out there to begin with because they don't think either party represents them.

If his administration doesn't find a way to show a new direction he may have lost the large youth vote he had in 08.

2. Hard to tell where he really is on this, considering he packed the administration...
...with Wall Street hacks.

He's at least pretending to understand where OWS is coming from - but is that just for the campaign?

I don't think it'll be nearly as easy to fool OWS as it was to fool the tea party.

progressive agenda and most importantly working for the the removal of money from politics - that will take some time - and will require most of all a change in the way people think - Just as Ronald Reagan's words, "government is the problem" to a large degree revolutionized how people thought - any strong words from Obama that changes peoples awareness and gets them thinking differently is a step forward.

In just three weeks time - issues like the income disparity and how money corrupts both political parties have moved from the fringe to the mainstream of political discussion. I think it is possible that the President might very well feel a need to respond to this - even if it may seem just like lip service - words that change how people think or reinforces the changes in society of how people think will in the long run help change how the system works.

5. Only if they vote more progressives into Congress.
Most of the people I've talked to aren't interested in electing anyone.

6. Newp
The only way to make him more progressive is to destroy his cabinet of the worst advisors since Satan formed a court, especially Geitner AND Clinton.

7. As Cathy Bates on Piers Morgan: "I want Obama to get up on his
hind legs and fight". She explained that as a child
growing up in Memphis, her Dad would tell her at times
"I want you to get up your hind legs and fight!", now
I am asking the same of Obama.

9. Jesus, Mary and Joseph could only hope...
Obama needs to come to them on this subject, since he's Christian.
