Here is the problem with the war on terror
Edited on Mon Oct-24-11 01:21 PM by nadinbrzezinski
It might give you a warm and fuzzy every time a terrorist dies. Alas that is fighting a tactic and in the long run not the best one. Strategy needs to be involved in this. Why are pretty well educated middle class kids joining and getting radicalized? For the same reason they took to the streets this spring. So at a strategic level et's wish these revolutions success in creating jobs...well paying would be preferable...

But this fighting tactics ain't the best strategy.

And I find it ridiculous that even at this late hour this needs pointing out.

12. Skilled People Exist In Finite Quantities, Ma'am
That better employment opportunities, and a greater sense of national and cultural and economic independence, would curtail recruitment is certainly true. It seems a reasonable hope such will eventuate from current events in the Moslem world.

13. You drain the swamp by investing there
You do not drain it by taking heads off a hydra.

It might be satisfying but we have chosen quite a bit of latter. That is where the strategy has gone wrong. Tactically we can keep doing this till the cows come home...heck, we are good at it...very good indeed.
