Lyrics from a song written in 1988 rings true today |
|
Religion and sex are powerplays Manipulate the people for the money they pay Selling skin, selling God The numbers look the same on their credit cards Politicians say no to drugs While we pay for wars in South America
Fighting fire with empty words While the banks get fat And the poor stay poor And the rich get rich And the cops get paid To look away As the one percent rules America - Queensryche from the song "Spreading the Disease" off the album OPERATION MINDCRIME
During the live recording they changed South America to Saudi Arabia

Great live show.
Halls of Justice Painted Green Money Talking Power Wolves Beset Your Door Hear Them Stalking Soon You'll Please Their Appetite They Devour Hammer of Justice Crushes You Overpower
The Ultimate in Vanity Exploiting Their Supremacy I Can't Believe the Things You Say I Can't Believe I Can't Believe the Price You Pay Nothing Can Save You
Justice Is Lost Justice Is Raped Justice Is Gone Pulling Your Strings Justice Is Done Seeking No Truth Winning Is All Find it So Grim So True So Real
- Metallica from the song "...And Justice for All" off the album ...And Justice for All.
Too bad Metallica turned into everything they railed against.

What was the message behind the black album. Don't go to sleep? One thing that I thought was cool about the show was that Queensrych's set was devoid of elaborate stagecraft. No lights... No pyrotechnics... No BS... The venue lighting as on the whole time. Just a kick ass stadium show. One of my all-time favs.

SELL OUT! Of which they did everywhere they went, and haven't recorded a decent song since.

6. It's obvious that the creative force behind Metallica... |
|
was Cliff Burton. After they used up all his canned material for ..And Justice for All they should have just dried up and blown away.
