So MSNBC on the morn told us that yes
Edited on Tue Oct-25-11 01:22 PM by nadinbrzezinski
there was CS gas used at Oakland, but it was deployed by the protestors....

But we have tape of the police using it.

There are days I "wonder" about our media...in this day and age we can get actual info from actual primary source. It is not like much has changed, beyond technology, but I am reminded to a point of yes Chicago in 1884. All I need is a trial of these anarchists I tell ya...

And they still tell us we got a lib'rul press.

:banghead:

3. Much like the news on the stock market today...
After days of growth, and the market nearing 12,000 again, we're told how bad things are in the market?

6. So how did protesters get tear gas?
Any of the "crack reporters" of MSNBC research that?

9. Easy -- they wiped it from their faces after the police put it there.
The way protesters generally "get" tear gas.

7. Uh huh
And any historical comparisons to the blame for, say, the Reichstag Fire are even worse than the police using CS gas on citizens peaceably assembling to petition their government officials for redress of grivances, so don't do that! I've been properly warned by my good friends at DU that any historical parallels or concerns about escalation are, like, totally misplaced and inappropriate. So I'll stop saying that. Right fucking now!

10. who do they think they are dealing with? Teabaggers?
I mean tear gas and the like isn't standard issue for the peaceful protesters. We aren't teabaggers ya know! Of course the police deployed it. I suppose if I get shot with a police revolver it will be some protester who did that too eh? Give it up, everyone knows it was the police. What a joke our media is.

11. Well you COULD buy a 3oz can

This did NOT come from a 3 oz can.

Oh and most available to civvies these days is pepper spray anyway.

13. Couldn't you just see us all with little cans of pepper spray?
Talk about bringing a knife to a gunfight lol. Of course if we had those cans we would certainly want to set them off in our own camps too.

12. 9am NPR hourly Tues morning, they said flash grenades were used, but it was hard to tell which side
used them.

I suppose it would be hard to tell -- if you turned your back, closed your eyes, and stopped up your ears.
