a caller on the Diane Rehm show today

ate pat buchanan for lunch.

i was supposed to get the oil changed on my car and got into it just in time to hear this one caller. he touched on the southern strategy, nixon, reagan, and scarborough and buchanan day in and out during 2008, then finished up by saying something like considering that you have devoted your life to racism hatred and lies, why should i believe anything you say?
i'm paraphrasing, and badly. but it was beautiful, beautiful to hear. then buchanan began to respond, lamely, and i switched to CD.

did anybody else hear it?? i was filled with elation when i heard this caller just go straight for the true stuff. after i get off work i'ma go listen again.

3. i'll have to find it later after i'm off work.

then i will put in the time when i find it. i just cannot remember just what time it was, but i'm guessing it would have to be more toward the end of his time with her as it seems usually she will talk with her guest for some time before opening up the lines for calls.

2. I always try to listen to Diane Rehm, especially her Friday news hours

but even during the week when she actually gets in depth on topics. So smart. One of my top 5 news shows and maybe smarter than Rachel Maddow.
