Oh, it's such a caricature of an idiotic attack on the OccupyX movement that no-one would really say that, would they? Wrong. Sky News (prop.: R. Murdoch)'s Adam Boulton went there this afternoon:

This clip on Sky News was captured today afternoon.

Adam Boulton of Sky News, unbelievably, tries to compare the protesters to Nazis.

I’m not sure descendants of the Holocaust would quite agree with that. Is Boulton out of his mind?

Boulton gives the Nazis props for not going home at night when they were occupying France, while saying that the Occupy London camp isn't a decent occupation because some protesters have not been there 24 hours for every day.

1. Murdoch's 'news' outlets are all the same.
Worthless spew from the mighty wurlitzer. (Well, not worthless to the oligarchies... it's very valuable to them I'm sure.)

3. Krugman addresses this in a blog post today ...

Say Anything

Over the last couple of days, I’ve been getting mail accusing me of consorting with Nazis. My immediate reaction was, what the heck? Then it clicked: the right wing is mounting a full-court press to portray Occupy Wall Street as an anti-Semitic movement, based, as far as I can tell, on one guy with a sign.

< . . . >

My first thought was that OWS must have the right really rattled. And there’s probably something to that. But actually, this is the way the right goes after everyone who stands in their way: accuse them of everything, no matter how implausible or contradictory the accusations are. Progressives are atheistic socialists who want to impose Sharia law. Class warfare is evil; also, John Kerry is too rich. And so on.

The key to understanding this, I’d suggest, is that movement conservatism has become a closed, inward-looking universe in which you get points not by sounding reasonable to uncommitted outsiders — although there are a few designated pundits who play that role professionally — but by outdoing your fellow movement members in zeal.

It’s sort of reminiscent of Stalinists going after Trotskyites in the old days: the Trotskyites were left deviationists, and also saboteurs working for the Nazis. Didn’t propagandists feel silly saying all that? Not at all: in their universe, extremism in defense of the larger truth was no vice, and you literally couldn’t go too far.

9. yes out of their mind for such a comparison
many of my relatives lived in Norway under the German Occupation. Think Martial law.

To think of occupying a space as opposed to taking over with martial law - is an out of their mind comparison.

10. It's Not Just Boulton....Sky News readers call the protesters "freeloading treehuggers'
October 24, 2011. London

'Occupy Camp Protesters Face Legal Action

"London Corporation is considering legal action to move the "Occupy" protesters camped outside St. Paul's Cathedral.
More than 300 anti-capitalist demonstrators have set up in front of the world famous landmark, causing it to close on Friday 'until further notice'
It is the first time the cathedral has closed since World War Two"
http://news.sky.com/home/business/article/16095108/

Not only is Sky News referring to the protesters as "anti-capitalst", but of the 46 comments on this article, fewer than seven were in support of the protesters; the other 39 comments included the following excerpts:

"Bloody disgrace, the lot of them..if you want to camp out, find a campsite...Look for a job, and stop using our capital as a toilet"

"Bet my taxes are being used to support these freeloading treehuggers"

"That's the trouble with these people, they've got nothing and want to share it with you"

"These socialists all finger-point at politicians and bankers because they are an easy target"

"It's now time for the tree huggers, the bone idle, the benefit scammers and the simply bewildered souls to pack up their tents and go away"

These comments from "across the pond" sound exactly like the comments of Fox News, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Beck,
Hannity, Savage and the other right-wing freaks here in the USA.

Murdoch's Sky News over there is the same neo-con bullshit that Murdoch's Fox News is
here!
