Just wanted to share my FB status... |
|
I got my first job at 14 cleaning heavy construction equipment when minimum wage was $1.50. I served in the military; I earned a college degree. All my life I have worked hard, studied hard, supported myself and my family. I have paid my debts, paid my taxes, paid my dues, and saved for retirement. By sheer luck, my house is still worth more than I owe on it. But after decades of playing by the rules, I’m watching it all starting to slip away. I am damn grateful to the young people willing to take up the cause and represent my interests…because the people I helped elect sure as hell don’t. I AM THE 99%

I too have struggled the hard way to "make it" - only to now be in a holding pattern, in constant fear of it all spiraling down - it's just no way to live. I AM THE 99%

2. Rec'd, but "because the people I helped elect sure as hell don’t." |
|
They do, depending on who you tried to elect.
What's going on is remarkable. And props to you!

4. Yeah, some do, granted. |
|
But not nearly enough; the 1% is much better represented than the 99%.
