Oakland - Our countries future under a Plutarchy, the 1%.
We've seen this in history before, reminiscent of totalitarian rule in other countries. This is our America in the 21st century. What's sad is so many Americans think that are really part of the 1%.

This, IMO, is just the beginning of our future if we stay the course!

1. You're so right -- most of the people I see/know think "they"
are the ones protesting -- OTHER people. They don't realize the only difference between those on the street and them is that they CURRENTLY have a job. They think they're untouchable. Crazy.

3. It's pretty much a variation of the Stockholm syndrome IMO. Some people delusional that
they are really part of the controllers, and just can't seem to get it that many are one paycheck away from the street.

I've worked in companies wherein people were delusional about layoffs, it just couldn't happen to them, and then they were let go. I saw this in senior management too, those singing the company line and praises, the HR line, and then they were let go.

I guess it's just ingrained in the human psyche to not be able to see out of the box.

2. There will probably always be a decent number of people who
would rather cling to the illusion of some day being rich than face the reality of being poor.
