Uh, yeah, that's one way to describe a massive assault by a paramilitary goon squad against peaceful citizens. It's even better than "clashes erupted".

4. This narrative is being rolled out full force even by such liberal

bastions as NPR. They continue to give credence to OPD's line of "We were only protecting ourselves from rocks, bottles, and chemical agents hurled at us by the protestors.". This is complete bullshit. I saw the video of them breaking up the peaceful crowd that was simply mulling about. They gave them five minutes to leave and warned that chemical agents would be used upon them if they did not. There was no threat from the protesters. Just a militarized police force breaking out the "less lethal" force.
