Marine veteran injured by non-lethal rounds at Occupy Oakland
By David Edwards
Wednesday, October 26, 2011

A Marine veteran at Occupy Oakland was injured Monday night after being shot at point-blank range with bean bags or rubber bullets by police.

Scott Olsen was at 14th Street and Broadway when he was shot by either San Francisco Sheriffs deputies or Palo Alto Police, according to RT.

“We need medic!” one protester is heard screaming. “Medic! Medic!”

“What happened?” another asked.

“He got shot!”

As Olsen is carried away, he appears unconscious and bloody, unable to even respond when asked his name.

Olsen is associated with Veterans for Peace.

1. So damn proud to be an american today!
A Marine willing to lay down his life to protect the constitution gets shot in the head by fascist Oakland police doing the bidding of the gangsters on wall street that are destroying this country and the whole world!

3. In Phase III (when they fight you) security and first aid
are becoming much more important.

Phase III requires disciplined passive resistance and the agent provocateurs who try to do otherwise need to be outed.

Thankfully, this seems to be happening for the most part.

4. Technically
The correct terminology is "less-lethal". They had to drop "non" when people starting dying left and right from the electroshock pain compliance gizmos.

7. I wonder what "pain compliance" has to do with "pursuit of happiness"

and "liberty", not to mention "life" (in the case of "less-lethal" being lethal). Seems more like the opposite.

I'm so tired of all the lies we've been told by the 1% over the years.

5. Just heard a live report on OccupyOakland stream from Authorities saying "no one was hurt"!
The media must report on this and if they don't they should be shamed! This is sickening news! Ed Schultz, Keith Olbermann, and Rachel Maddow should be on it Big Time!
