Definitely there is a certain, and noticeable disturbance in the force
OPD most like committed a few civil rights violations. They added fuel to fire and at least one casualty of their excessive force (if not worst) now lays in ICU. Good news, with modern medical care depending on injuries, he should mostly be ok, even if dicey for the momemt. But I sense a certain we need to defend this no matter what...and go after the dirty hippies...implied and all.

We have entered a new phase, and as long as protestors keep following Ghandhi... Alas this is why we have this disturbance. Even those fully against this on principles or tactics remember what happened the last time cops really got off that leash. Yes, the world changed and change is always damn scary.

As to the WH silence, while troubling it might be the necessary we need to come with a coherent response and given OPD is already under federal supervision for...civil rights violations, this rises above just a simple local dust off.

I will keep posting this link though

Important to put pressure.

2. Time to remember how the Amish and Mennonites and Quakers
traditionally deal with physical violence: they DO NOT respond in kind. By remaining passive in the face of unjust force, one retains the moral high ground, which is always the winning position.

Turn the other cheek and watch the enemy destroy himself.

6. Ha! I'm A Quaker And I Agree With You, But...
I don't think the tactic worked against, for example, Genghis Khan

3. My conservative brother said today that he looked up who...
was behind OWS and said it was communist and socialist (I am still trying to get him to explain to me how he came to that conclusion)...The bottom line is that he said he still supported them. Now that is something.
