A little something I saw that made me smile inside:

A friend in my neighborhood was welcoming her son home from Afghanistan. I brought over some desserts to help their celebration. They invited me in and I saw Chris Matthews and MSNBC on their TV.

It always makes me feel good to know that others in my conservative Texas town are watching something other than Fox!

3. I think he gets to live in San Diego for awhile.

But I've been a little confused; I thought his mom, my friend, said he had to go back to Afghanistan.
