The GOP will not make an issue of Perry 'joking'

about the birther issue. They didn't hold Cain responsible for his 'jokes' about an electrocution fence along the border. You would think that someone would take issue with the nomination candidates lying. Basically, where the GOP party politics are concerned, the base are just a bunch of guard dogs who wait for Fox News to tell them when & how to feel anything about republicans, juxtaposed with how bloodthursty they are when thrown democratic meat. The GOP is certainly good at enforcing 'party discipline' in a way democrats are not.
