Damn Oakland Police are trying to deny ever using rubber bullets last night! |
|
Edited on Wed Oct-26-11 10:22 PM by in_cog_ni_to
However, people found rubber bullets on the streets and there's pictures all over the internet. Lawrence O'Donnell just interviewed a young lady in NY who said she has seen the rubber bullets herself. There were large ones and small ones. Oakland cops are fucking LIARS. on edit: Here's a picture of one of the rubber bullets they never used: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/blogpost/post/occupy-oakland-did-police-use-flashbangs-and-rubber-bullets-on-protesters/2011/10/26/gIQAL4pOJM_blog.html

1. There were apparently many local police organizations there last night. |
|
They claim they did not use rubber bullets, but they can't confirm or deny that the other police organizations did.

4. I think the OPD could easily confirm it. But they just won't say. |
|
It's silly to even think that something that important and easily confirmed, could not be confirmed.

25. That sounds to be the most likely case |
|
However Oakland PD was the lead agency and are responsible for what happened and what got used regards.

2. Weasel words. It could have been one of the other agencies there. |
|
There were like five or six of them. It was an invasion of cops yesterday.

3. Yes, but you NEED to actually have them in hand |
|
Where are the ones people found... it will be a HUGE problems if the Oakland Police are stating they never fired rubber bullets, and then there is proof. No eyewitness proof, you need the actual rubber bullets.

7. Someone MUST have cell-phone footage... |
|
...of those rubber bullets.
I'm convinced the only reason why the police brutality hasn't been worse--is because the police know that they're being filmed.
This whole situation makes me so sick. I can't take looking at that video of Iraqi war vet who was injured. It's just so sad and it didn't have to be that way.

11. Is this denial part of a cover up... |
|
...regarding the Iraqi vet who was shot in the head?
Are they now denying that they used any type of force that would have caused his injury?
This is why we MUST keep those cell phone cameras rolling. They can't lie if we're all filming them.

19. and the Oakland Police are now trying to censor... |
|
..you tube videos of the protest and the injury. They are demanding that those videos be taken down.
They're only galvanizing OWS and attracting attention to the sick state of this country.

|
"Q. Did the Police deploy rubber bullets, flash-bag (sic) grenades? A. No, the loud noises that were heard originated from M-80 explosives thrown at Police by protesters." http://www2.oaklandnet.com/oakca/groups/cityadministrator/documents/pressrelease/oak031911.pdf

23. Just to be clear, they aren't "rubber bullets", they are rubber covered |
|
There's a steel ball at the center of that bullet. It needs that mass to maintain velocity and impact force. They might be considered non-lethal but that's only true if you hit soft tissue that can absorb the impact. Put one of those to the skull or temple and you won't walk away. Bonus Army 2011
