The Madoff's formed a joint suicide pact. (GMA)
Edited on Thu Oct-27-11 06:11 AM by Are_grits_groceries
If anybody thinks that Bernie would kill himself is addled. He is a grifter, a liar, and a completely narcissistic character.

Barbara Walters interviewed him and said he has terrible remorse. BAH! The only remorse he has is that he is in jail.

His wife is trying to claim how horrible the aftermath was. MEH! If anybody knew what he was doing to those people, it was Bernie. He didn't care. BW also says he agrees that he deserves to be punished. NOT!

I have NO sympathy for him at all.I don't believe a word he says, and I never will.

9. No way do I believe that guy is dead.
His was the most convenient heart-attack-followed-by-intimate-closed-casket-funeral in world history.

3. I suppose in some respects
its unfortunate they were not as successful in their attempt as they were running the Ponzi scheme.

4. I saw the opening of GMA and wondered why this is breaking, big news?
They presented it as though this suicide pact was a bombshell.

Honestly, who cares? They're older, they're adults, they're not exactly beloved members of the citizenry.

8. I have an idea
Media is trying the angle that the filthy rich are "real people" and not some faceless pod people that "certain rogue organizations" seem to think they are.

I really don't think they're going to get anywhere with the pity party....

11. Yep.
Somehow I doubt they'll have much success drumming up much sympathy.

6. He's facing the consequences--which truly are pretty horrible...
Ignoring the jail sentence, his family has turned away from him and his son committed suicide. He will never see his grandchildren again. I doubt he really feels much remorse for those he totally screwed over, but his karma has got to be giving him regrets.

Feel sorry for him? I could never give him the sympathy that rightfully belongs to those he destroyed. That said, I find the entire situation so regretful and depressing that I can not say I am without sadness--even for his own deserved pathos.

10. I've killed black widow spiders in my home that I had more remorse for.
Frankly, I believe he deserves a lot worse than what he's getting.

7. As I said in a post bout this last night. They obviously didn't try hard enough.
attention seeking witch, go have your pity party somewhere else, cause there's no sympathy coming from here.

12. Or, as I was going to say
He couldn't do anything right.

This story is not terribly convincing.

15. To tell you the truth, I don't feel a bit sorry for any of them.
The son who committed suicide--didn't he work for his father as part of the scam?

And Mrs. Madoff--was she just busily spending their ill-gotten gains, flitting about in society? What, all that is gone?

Tough shit.

18. I'm just not sure that I believe this.
And in a strange way, I think it's really crappy of them to say something like this NOW after the son did commit suicide.
