Marines around the world are outraged by the injuries inflicted by police on Scott Olsen at Tuesday's Occupy Oakland protests. Olsen is in a medically-induced coma after getting hit in the head by a police projectile.

My name is Jay C Gentile, and I'm the man in the picture on BI's front page. I'm sure you're a busy man so I'll try to keep my words to a minimum. I was wondering if you, as a journalist, and with the resources at your disposal, could tell me a reliable place where I can find updates about Scott Olsen's condition. "Occupy Wallstreet" movement aside, Marines share a bond that escapes the boundaries of the English language. I'd like to be able to "check up" on this young man, my brother, and keep up with his condition.

It was at 17 after my rec it jumped to 20. This kind of hit us where we live. I hope and pray Scott comes out of this fine, and the Oakland Police do right by him and take care of ALL expenses and inconveniences that Scott suffers.

Many of us have noticed through the years that the laws often bend a bit when police are taking care of their own. I think Oakland Police need to seriously consider the ongoing impression that they make from this point forward. A cover up might not be the correct choice in this matter. Being clear about who ordered what might be a better choice.

Yet another "tipping point" moment...with more and more people coming to the realization that this is more likely to end in violent, bloody revolution than it is in non-violent change. While that fills me with sadness and a degree of fear, I am reluctantly coming to the conclusion that our commitment to non-violence means that the PTB understand they can simply wait us out.

5. Sure enough, at 3:30 in the video Scott Olsen is shown standing peacefully

at the front line next to a Navy veteran, protecting the protesters from the armed policemen -- just moments before they shot him.

The mayor showed the PTB's cards when she attempted to portray the protesters as "violent", then backtracking on their stance of aggression against the protesters by announcing that "nonviolent" protesters will be allowed to remain. The protesters have been peaceful. It has been stressed & openly repeated in the presence of police standing by that nonviolence is their mantra -- until the police used "chemical agents" (the term used by the officer when warning the protesters), along with rubber bullets & beanbag bullets that caused golfball-sized welts. The PTB are wanting the police to incite violence in order to cause the protesters to fight back so that the PTB can destroy their credibility & legitimate complaints.

Thank goodness for modern technology which is getting out the truth. Funny thing is, the PTB have become so accustomed to distorting the truth in their favor that they haven't been able to step off their propagandic soapbox to adjust to this new technology. Their lies are in plain view for the world to see -- including those countries that the U.S. has condemned for abusing their people in the same manner.

The reddit.com link you provided that gave a forum to Marines (as well as to other servicemen) was a great read. As one would expect, they are stirred up on behalf of Scott. Whether they've known it all along or have suddenly realized what's been going on, they are well-informed on the decay of democracy & on the hypocrisy & lies, which includes Fox News.

14. IMO, The hospital should get Olsen's family's permission to disclose

non-detailed information, just simple progress reports. This man is beloved.
