Will YOU participate in the Occupy General Strike Nov. 2nd?
Oakland branch of "Occupy Wall Street" calling for a GENERAL STRIKE November 2nd.
Yes, a general and NATIONAL strike.

I can do that. No shopping, no spending.

Can..WILL...you do that, in support of the protest against the criminal actions of the Oakland Police?

What say DU? Money where your mouth is and all of that?

Latest on Scott Olson:

Occupy Oakland protester Scott Olsen to undergo brain surgery
Olsen's condition upgraded from serious to fair after an incident that has prompted calls for Oakland mayor's resignation.

14. The strike is just to not spend money that we will have either spent the day before
in preparation or the day after, because we as a society won't just refuse to buy. Now if it's supposed to be like Occupy and it's just a first day, well, maybe then, but, geez, that ain't gonna happen.

15. Already planning to
I'm retired, so it'll be no shopping, no spending, no driving, even.

I doubt this one will work. Too many people are still comfortable and others are too afraid because they still have something left to lose.
