3. The policeman who tossed the grenade lowered a gun/rifle-like object before doing so.

I would not be surprised if he is responsible for both actions. He is clearly responsible for the grenade attack on the protesters who came to Olsen's aid.

6. HAs the coward that shot him came forward?

Accidents happen, and if it truly was accidental, I would expect that officer to own up to what he did. If he doesn't come forward and apologize, he should be fired and charged with criminal battery. Some cops think they are Gestapo and do what they want to but they forget this is America, and the people they are controlling are not the enemy, they are the ones they are charged to protect. There needs to be severe consequences for officers who go rogue.

During times when the police seem to be getting ready for a confrontation, maybe keeping a number of cameras trained on protesters might help dispel false claims by cops of rock throwing, etc. Not that they would ever lie, cough.

Of course, that's making sure that the cops get their Candid Camera moment at the same time.

14. I heard the same stuff on the local news tonight about Occupy Portland:

Homeless people sleeping there, people doing drugs, fights breaking out every few minutes, cost of policing exhorbitant....

Is this the new script to try to shut it down everywhere?

On edit: there was also a separate segment about a guy who supposedly tried to get a permit for an event in the park to celebrate the constitution & got turned down. Take-away point: something fishy about the Occupy event, they didn't have to do any of that.

15. He was standing next to a sailor in uniform.

I saw that sailor on the live stream before Olsen was shot and I thought, that uniform is going to tick off a cowboy. And sure enough, today I found out these two men were standing together. At one point the sailor was holding up a copy of the constitution. So saddening.
