Something Else On KO With Michael Moore... Anybody Here Remember Tienanmen Square ???
Not comparing the two, but...

Moore said that there were 18 law enforcement agencies in downtown Oakland the night they routed the camp and severely injured Scott Olsen.

And Keith says... (Paraphrasing) "Maybe that was why... you don't know who's responsible."

And Michael says (with a wry smile)... (Paraphrasing) "That would be surprisingly good thinking."

And I just sort of floated back to when the Chinese government during Tienanmen Square weren't convinced that the local army divisions were gonna be able to "clear the square".

So... they trucked in army divisions from the countryside, who were not so... squeamish.

Just an observation...

3. In the case of Tienanmen Square, the soldiers weren't just "from the countryside"
They were actually Mongolians who didn't speak the local language. So instead of hearing "Don't shoot, we're all Chinese!", the soldiers heard what might as well have been the gibberish that the African natives are speaking in the closing credits of Jonny Quest.
