ITS WORKING! The banks are scared!
In what seems to be an unprecedented display of customer service, today US Bank CALLED us to let us know our account was overdrawn, they OFFERED to waive the fee, upgraded our account to "gold" and added overdraft protection at no additional charge...they say nothing will change with the account except less fees and more benefits (waiting on paperwork to verify of course) the guy was extremely kind and helpful (what planet am I on?)

I had been with BofA for..sheesh 20 years and they never called unless I had a late credit card payment lol
(I am included on the class action lawsuit against them regarding overdrafts tho lol)

I think we'll probably still move to a local credit union on the 5th lol but still....I was pretty surprised! I think the word of the day at the banks must be "customer retention" lol

6. Maybe US Bank is getting it.
I was keeping too much in a checking account with them and I took it all out recently and moved it to a credit union.

It's kind of OT but a vent follows. Thank you for consideration:

I came in to ask about a credit card for my business and they wound up issuing me an annual fee credit card I never signed for. Not sure how that worked but it happened!~

The last straw was a recent car loan application. I came in to sign the closing documents and while reading the contract I noticed there was 1% origination fee that would be added to the principle. The "banker" said something like 'oh it's standard just sign it'.

I wound up getting the same deal from the credit union I moved my money to without the origination fee. Plus I feel better. :)
