Victims' families and activists gather to tell drone stories
Pakistan's Foundation for Fundamental Rights and British legal charity Reprieve will start an international dialogue in Islamabad tomorrow on the CIA's bloody drone campaign in the country's tribal regions.

Tribal elders and victims' families will participate in the Waziristan Grand Jirga alongside human rights lawyers, activists, artists and politicians.

After the Jirga they, along with thousands of Pakistani citizens and PTI party workers, will join an anti-drone protest in front of parliament, which has passed a resolution against drone strikes but failed to do anything.

Pakistani activist Mirza Shahzad Akbar said: "The dramatic recent increase in prescriptions for anti-depressive medicines for residents of Waziristan is just one stark indicator of the daily toll of these deadly American machines that circle menacingly overhead. It is our duty to ensure that the truth is told."

1. Killing in our name
I'm only glad the survivors are telling their stories. All US citizens need to see what we are doing with unmanned drones.

2. I can't even imagine the terror of the children living under threat daily from these
horrors. The anxiety must certainly affect their sleep, health, freedom to play outside, every day quality of life. I don't remember being afraid myself, but read stories of people taught under-the-desk drills in case of Russians dropping bombs, and how it affected them. Why should children in any land have to live with this? I can see why they'd be depressed.
